Mr. Chen Qiaoyi is a famous contemporary historical geographer and authority on "Li Studies" in my country. Zhejiang University held the "Mr. Chen Qiaoyi's 90th Birthday Celebration and Academic Seminar on the Development of Historical Geography" in November 2011. In addition to receiving academic papers, the conference also received a number of reminiscences and informative texts full of affectionate descriptions of interactions with Mr. Chen. The academic papers have been compiled and officially published by Zhejiang University Press in February 2014. This book intends to collect retrospective and informative articles into a volume to reflect Mr. Chen's academic contributions and research experience.
