This book was written through multiple interviews with Luo Jing and Wang Yueqing from the Department of Journalism of Nanjing University. After the relevant geological content was supplemented by Zhang Yuchang and Jiang Qiqin, Zhang Yanyan, Xu Peifang and others who were formerly from the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, the book was finalized by Academician Liu Guangding of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Zhou Zuyi of Tongji University. It was published by Tongji University Press with the support of the graduate students he trained at Tongji University. In the form of reportage, this book narrates the four-decade plan that Mr. Zhu Xia set since childhood to read thousands of books, travel thousands of miles, conduct scientific research, and cultivate future generations. He persisted in realizing it throughout his life and made outstanding contributions to the geological cause and geological theory of the motherland. It can be used as a reference for the history of science and technology in China.
