In 2149, humans established an "abyssal base" on the back of the moon in an attempt to connect parallel universes to obtain new energy through quantum entanglement technology. However, they accidentally opened a "rift in consciousness" - "virtual bodies" (incorporeal consciousness aggregates) from high-dimensional space penetrated through the rift. They feed on human fears and memories, can tamper with electronic equipment, control biological consciousness, and even materialize horrific scenes. The base gradually becomes an isolated island eroded by the "hollow body", and the survivors must find a way out between technology and unknown fear.
