Qingtai Street was originally a main street in the old city, connecting the Weihe Ferry in the south and Yifeng Street in the north. During the Cultural Revolution, the King's flag was changed on the top of the Phoenix Tower, and all the people waving the flag and shouting were on Yifeng Street.
