This book is a collection of memoir essays written by Mr. Liu Yuejin, a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and director of the Institute of Literature. "Selected Works", also known as "Selected Works of Zhaoming", is the earliest existing collection of Han poetry and prose. It was compiled and selected by Xiao Tong, the eldest son of Emperor Liang Wu of the Southern Dynasty, organized by literati.
