This book is a project of the National Social Science Foundation. It combines the historical and academic background of modern China and focuses on the study of modernity and nationality issues in the development of modern Chinese literary theory. The methods and features of this book are: first, it shifts from a thin case study and historical description model to a problem-centered research model. Second, it adheres to the Marxist view of dialectical unity and the principle of the unity of history and logic. Third, it implements China Dialogue's theoretical and methodological principles.
