This is a collection of short stories, including "Old Beef Tendon", "Red Cloud", "Mighty Victory", "We Are the Same River in Front of the Door", "Zheng Jia", "Growing Melons under the Moon" and other eleven works that reflect rural life. In these short stories, the author uses simple brushstrokes to meticulously portray multiple images of farmers with different personalities. For example, before the founding of the People's Republic of China, he "cannot be steamed or boiled", and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the "old beef tendon" finally changed; Guo Lao Nai, who only realized the sweetness of life at seventy ("We are the same river in front of the door"); Zheng Jia, the league secretary who is simple and honest, but looks "soft" but full of revolutionary enthusiasm at heart; Duan Hongyun, a young woman who is selfless and dares to think, speak and do ("Red Cloud").
