Starting in 2003, Xu Xiake researcher Liu Ruisheng drove himself to conduct on-the-spot interviews on the main routes and places that Xiake traveled that year. He used text, pictures, video and other recording methods to interview local experts and inspect historical sites. Then he wrote "Traveling with Xu Xiake" in the form of pictures and texts, and also in the diary style. This book is the result of the author's diary compilation of the first four routes of "Re-walking Xiake Road", covering the 11 provinces and cities that Xu Xiake visited that year.
