My daughter has not been with us for a long time and went to study abroad after graduating from high school. During this period, I corresponded with her for more than ten years. In the face of the setbacks, pressures and other problems she encountered while growing up, letters filled with emotional warmth and love helped her successfully go through the difficult stages of isolation, loneliness, sadness, depression, and hesitation. At the same time, she also shared her happy moments of progress, growth, happiness, and joy. Letters are the most traditional way of communication, and they are also the most sufficient, detailed, and accurate way to express emotions, thoughts, and opinions. Nowadays, people have various ways of instant communication, but the unique charm of letters still remains and is irreplaceable. Language is the material shell of thinking, and words are the carrier of thinking and language. The rich vocabulary of Chinese allows full and appropriate expression of words. The letters written to my daughter over the past ten years are like a river, gathering the love of parents for their children, flowing quietly and benefiting their hearts.
