The story begins when Su Jian, a new editor, takes over a reclusive "literary master". She soon discovers that this master, Mo Yan, is actually one of the last few true "wordsmiths" in the world. After becoming Mo Yan's "anchor" (the stabilizer that prevents him from being backlashed by his own power), Su Jian is drawn into a hidden world constructed of words. Together with Mo Yan, while solving incidents caused by words, she gradually came closer to a buried truth: the world itself may be a "Creation Article" written by an ancient "sage" wordsmith. And this "original text" is being eroded by "Newspeak" and certain external forces, causing "loopholes" to appear, causing reality to be distorted. They must collect the scattered "original fragments" and decide whether to repair, rewrite, or end this world made of words before the forces of all parties.
