When he went to that distant place, it was to go home, not to travel in our usual sense. What he showed in his writing and lens were mountains that he had climbed personally, two rivers where he had waded through water and even saved people, primary schools where he had personally touched the thickness of the quilts in the dormitories, and one after another locals on the frontier who had been friends with him for several years, ten years, or even decades.

This is a collection of prose poems. The author is a photographer. Over the years, he has traveled to Gongga Mountain, Daliang Mountain, Hailuogou and other mountains and rivers, communicated with local people, and gained a more direct feeling and deeper thinking about the local customs and customs. This book collects the author's personal experiences over the past forty years, telling the story of the snow-capped mountains that he has climbed, the rivers that he has waded in and even rescued people, the rural primary schools that have personally touched the thickness of the quilts in the dormitories, the details of risking his life time and time again to donate money, deliver food, build roads, and build schools for leprosy villages, as well as the mountain people who have been friends with him for several years, more than ten years, or even decades. In this book, the author uses his extraordinary life experience to inspire us to pursue youth without regrets and never forget our original intention.

In the past 15 years, the author Lin Qiang has traveled to various leprosy rehabilitation villages in Liangshan Prefecture and met many leprosy patients and their families. During the days when he ate and lived with them, the author made friends with them and listened to their stories about his decades of experience. Every person and every family there has a touching story. The author originally wanted to write all their stories in the book "The Power of Life (Record of a Leper Patient)", but there were too many, and he was afraid that he would not be able to tell them clearly. So he chose Qian Zhichang as the main line, telling me about my interactions and stories with him over the past 10 years, and trying to uncover a corner of the leprosy village in Liangshan Prefecture.
