Thirty years ago, the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government established a Poyang Lake scientific expedition team to conduct scientific investigations on the biological resources, hydrological environment, water pollution survey, and ecological environment of the lakeside area in the Poyang Lake area. They obtained a large amount of data and achieved fruitful results, which provided important basis for the future development of Poyang Lake. As one of the scientific expedition team members, the author of this book participated in the entire process of the scientific expedition. Through the investigation, the current situation and dynamic changes of Poyang Lake's resources, environment, and ecosystem were comprehensively clarified. The scientific research results presented in this book provide scientific basis and scientific and technological support for the ecological environment protection of Poyang Lake and the construction of the province's ecological civilization demonstration pilot area, and are of important scientific value for promoting the sustainable development of the Poyang Lake area.
