This book is written to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Lijiang Publishing House. The book contains more than 90 congratulatory messages and commemorative articles from authors of Lijiang Publishing House, experts from all walks of life, readers, and new and old Lijiang people. Each writer writes about his relationship and past events with Lijiang Publishing House from a personal perspective. What Lijiang has contributed to the world is not only his books, but also his persistence in literary communication and his spirit of never giving up in difficult situations. In order to review history, sum up experience, and move better into the future, we have been planning activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Lijiang Publishing House in 2019, and have issued invitations with the theme of "Me and Lijiang" to collect manuscripts from authors, readers, and new and old Lijiang people. The publication of this book is the result of this call for papers and an important part of the commemorative activities.
