"Song of the Eagle" is the first full-length novel on geological exploration in New China. The novel describes the tragic story of geological exploration personnel exploring mines in the early days of the founding of New China. The novel describes experienced geologists in the mountains and forests, gray-haired old engineers, heroic and enthusiastic young technicians of both sexes, energetic drillers, and workers in the geological exploration department. It mainly describes that on the eve of the founding of New China, battalion commander Jiao Kun, who was a miner, led his troops to liberate the Guyingling mining area in southern Liaoning where he had lived for many years, and took on the task of restoring mine production and supporting the People's Liberation War. The leadership of the Mine Party carried forward the fine traditions of our Party and our army, adhered to the principles and policies of self-reliance, led the workers, and fought unremittingly against counter-revolutionary armed forces and hidden bandits while firmly grasping production and overcoming numerous difficulties. In less than a year, the mines began to boil. This novel reflects the arduous struggle life during the restoration and construction of the Northeastern mines in the early days of the founding of New China. It has a grand epic style and occupies an important position in China's contemporary industrial-themed literary creation.
