When I returned to the 418th Infantry Regiment from the division reporting team, I was already a third-year soldier. I recall that I was very ambitious when I was a soldier, and I had the ambition to one day become an officer and be followed by a group of soldiers. But in the past three years, I have worked hard and endured hardships, and my so-called talents have been clearly demonstrated. However, I have suffered setbacks at every turn. The pockets on the military uniform have not increased. There are many more grooves on the bumpy face, and a patch of stubble has sprouted vigorously on the chin. However, a soldier is still a soldier. The glorious dream of the past has long since turned into a wisp of smoke, drifting away in the wind. From the white military uniforms, I can see that the day of demobilization and farewell to the military is not far away.
