It tells the story of a wealthy lady and her servant who love each other but stay apart. Jing Xing was originally the son of a university teacher, but his father was accidentally killed during a student demonstration; his mother remarried and sold him to a gardener. They relied on their skills in flower gardening to make a living as servants in the drug dealer Xie's family. When Mrs. Xie, who had no children, was pregnant for the first time, Jing Xing was selected as the "prosperous son" because of the compatibility of the eight characters, and was brought into the backyard, where he met the third lady Ruoxin. From then on, regardless of rain or shine, Jing Xing was always with her, becoming a ray of sweet spring in her boring life, depicting the outside world that she could not set foot on.
