Who Gives the Key to Youth?

Just Wait For The Salt

976K01

This article tells the story of He Xiaowan, a girl from Nanjing who graduated and worked for almost a year. After resigning, she went to Melbourne to study abroad. Suddenly arriving in this place with no relatives and far different cultural backgrounds, she encountered many challenges in various aspects such as food, clothing, housing and transportation. When she first arrived, she shared a bedroom with others; slept on a moldy mattress; was distressed by the 5:1 exchange rate between the Australian dollar and the Renminbi; listened to her roommate's advice about earning Australian dollars by working at a Chinese restaurant for cheap wages; and felt the indifference between her roommates who were also Chinese international students. Everything turned around after the language course started. She met JK, an "old classmate" who was really not too young, by chance several times, which made her feel the rare human touch, and she couldn't help but joke with him; she met the beautiful, proud and righteous Nana, and Xiaoguai, who looked cute and had a sweet voice. The three hit it off and became friends; they were even forced to sit at the same table with a tall and handsome boy named Allen. Although she deliberately drew a clear line with the other party, she increasingly discovered that she had a deep relationship with him. Plus Allen's best friend: the honest and honest Brady. The meeting of these six people seemed to be accidental, but it also seemed to have been predestined. Surrounded by love, family, and friendship, this article has been asking the protagonist and readers a question: If you are going to study abroad, what is it for? Are you really ready? It's just a longing. When you are really abroad, faced with the gap between ideals and reality, can you still stick to your original intention and bravely pursue your dreams?
