In a closed world wrapped by a metal barrier, human beings look up at the unchanging "ring of the sky." Climbing is the most niche and crazy sport. The story begins with two talented climbers - the sloppy but talented Yan Dongdong and the tough and steady Zhou Peng. In an accident, they glimpsed the starry sky outside. From then on, the meaning of climbing was completely changed. They successfully climbed to the top of the "Changjie Peak" connecting heaven and earth in an attempt to reach the end of the world. However, the exploration offended the conservative church, "God's punishment" came, and the climbers became the target of public criticism.
