Along with the process of my country's reform and opening up, the study of Taiwan history has also gone through nearly 40 years. This book aims to review the research on Taiwan history in the past 40 years, summarize achievements and experiences, analyze existing problems, and identify the path and direction of future development. The book is divided into six volumes. The first three volumes introduce the history of Taiwan in the early Qing Dynasty, the late Qing Dynasty and after the liberation. The last three volumes introduce Taiwan's folk history and local documents in Taiwan, as well as appendices supplemented by the author. The book is informative, rich in historical materials, and clearly organized. It provides a detailed introduction and analysis of the study of Taiwan history.
