The Eight Great Masters of Tang and Song Dynasties are the collective name for the eight great poets and prose writers in the Tang and Song Dynasties, namely Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan in the Tang Dynasty, and Su Xun, Su Shi, Su Che (the father and son of Su Xun, Su Shi, and Su Che are called San Su), Ouyang Xiu, Wang Anshi, and Zeng Gong (who once worshiped Ouyang Xiu as their teacher) in the Song Dynasty. The Eight Great Families of the Tang and Song Dynasties were divided into two in the Tang Dynasty and six in the Song Dynasty.
