This book covers four aspects: the overseas dissemination of Chinese contemporary literature, the image of China in Western literature, foreign literature, and comparative literature research. Discuss the interpretation preferences in the overseas reception of Chinese literature, the overseas communication of Chinese literature and the shaping of China's image, the methods and existing problems in the study of the overseas communication of Chinese literature; analyze how China is literary imagined and culturally utilized in Western literary works at different historical stages, and study the deep social and cultural implications behind the Western image of China ; Analyze the Chinese cultural complex of foreign writers, especially Kafka, and explore the relationship between his career and literary creation, as well as his inheritance of previous writers and his influence on later writers; interpret the works of Zhang Wei and Hemingway, Kafka and Dickens and other writers from a comparative perspective, and explore the mutual understanding, mutual verification, and mutual learning between literatures of different nationalities.

Mo Yan and his works have always been the forefront and hot spot of domestic academic research, and have also attracted the attention of foreign scholars.
