Before the civil war even started, the Kuomintang had already turned its butcher knife on its compatriots. The military spy organization lurking in Guilin City has been looking for the legendary underground party organization of the CCP in Guilin headed by the codename "Misty" for many years, and wants to quickly eliminate it. At the same time, after the civil war officially started, the upper echelons of the military system cooperated with the Guangxi clique to formulate a devastating plan for the liberated areas, codenamed "Plague". "Misty", who lurks deep behind enemy lines, leads his action team to skillfully maneuver between the Guangxi clique and the military command, and uses the contradiction between the two factions to hide his identity and help him get closer to his goal. In the end, with the help of Comrade "Misty", our party's intelligence team successfully obtained the top-secret information of the "Plague Plan" and shattered the enemy's conspiracy against the liberated areas.

The work is divided into two parts: "Codename Spring Grass" and "Sting". "Codename Spring Grass" tells the story of Huang Tingxuan, an underground intelligence worker of our party who was lurking in the Wang Puppet Special Committee in the Guangzhou area, after experiencing a series of changes such as the rebellion of organizational members, the sacrifice of comrades, and even losing contact with the organization and becoming isolated and helpless. The story of still sticking to his beliefs and growing into an outstanding revolutionary warrior step by step. "Bee Sting" is set in Guangzhou after the fall of October 29, 1938. It tells the story of the Kuomintang Central Unification agent "Bee Sting" lurking in the puppet government police station and a desperate duel with the enemy. On October 29, 1938, Guangzhou fell completely. After the fall of Guangzhou, the anti-Japanese comrades lurking in Guangzhou did not stop resisting. After the establishment of the puppet Guangdong government, high-level Japanese and puppet officials were assassinated one after another, which aroused high vigilance among the Japanese secret services.
