This book is divided into two parts: Shi Ling Yin Mood and Ancient Style Fu Qicai, which respectively contain 90 new poems and 70 ancient poems created by the author. The new poems are free in form but have a strong sense of rhythm; the ancient poems are mainly seven-character poems but still retain the new atmosphere of the times. The author describes the flowers, plants, insects and fish around him, streams and rivers, wind, rain, thunder and lightning, and even foreign customs. He expresses his awe for the passage of time, his deep reflection on the meaning of life, his attachment to family, friendship and nostalgia, and praises the life virtues of humility, calmness, bravery and dedication.
