The "Four Gentlemen" in Guanzhong refer to Sanyuan Ma Li, Gaoling Lu Nan, Chaoyi Han Bangqi and Fuping Yang Jue. They were representatives of Guanzhong during the Hongzhengjia period of the Ming Dynasty. This book focuses on two aspects: first, sorting out Mr. Si's literary concepts and creative practices; second, exploring the interactive influence of academics and literature, and trying to gain regular understanding. The manuscript first succinctly combs through the ideas and trends of Guanxue from the perspective of the history of philosophy; it also refines the concept of "big literary view" to illustrate the scholar's opposition to arrogance in words and articles and advocates the practice of virtue as the root of speech. After that, each teacher will be specially studied separately, mainly including four aspects: knowing people and commenting on the world, introducing the teacher's life and books through typical events; studying politics, teaching and educating people, introducing his specific thoughts and behaviors under the guidance of academic concepts; article views and creation situations; poetic views and creation situations.
