This book takes representative novel texts in modern and contemporary Chinese literature as its object, adopts critical methods dominated by gender theory and feminist narratology, and explores the relationship between narrative and gender in modern and contemporary Chinese novels. It aims to open up the channels of internal research and external research in literary research, thereby grasping the creative characteristics of modern and contemporary Chinese literature, and contributing to the creation and theory of contemporary Chinese literature.
