The wife of young and promising Florida congressman and Senate candidate Craig Caffrey was murdered without warning, and FBI agent Matt Thurston was ordered to investigate. The remaining photo in the deceased's hand led him from the Pentagon to the desolate town of Clewiston, Florida. But just the day before he arrived, the Vietnam War veteran photographer who took the photo had just died in a suspicious suicide.
