In the tenth year of Chongzhen, Zhou Chengyu traveled through time and became a minor leader under Li Zicheng. In the seventeenth year of Chongzhen, Li Zicheng was defeated at Shanhaiguan. The Qing army entered the pass and captured Beijing. Li Zicheng fled south, and Zhou Chengyu took the opportunity to stand on his own. In August of the third year of Xuanwu, Zhou Chengyu died in Beijing, and his legacy was passed down to the sixteen-year-old crown prince Zhou Jingyun. The following year, Zhou Jingyun changed his reign name to Longjing It was Emperor Longjing.
