"Literary Review" is a large-scale national academic journal of literary research and theoretical criticism sponsored by the Institute of Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Its main content is research and review articles on literary theory, the works of important writers in Chinese and foreign literary history, literary history issues, and literary creation and theory during the Chinese socialist period. This book contains commemorative articles by dozens of scholars, covering the editors and editorial boards of Literary Review as well as author groups from the field of literary research across the country. These warm memories truly record the publication's sixty-year golden years and development process.

This book selects 320 poems from the Tang and Song Dynasties, covering the Tang, Five Dynasties, Northern Song Dynasty, and Southern Song Dynasties. The late Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties focused on the works of Li Yu and Feng Yansi, the Northern Song Dynasty focused on Su Shi, and the Southern Song Dynasty mainly selected works represented by the Xin Qiji faction that reflected the resistance to the invasion of the Jin rulers and exposed the Southern Song Dynasty clique's secretiveness. The specific annotations and compilation work in the book are conducted by senior classical literature researchers. The annotations are detailed and there are comments at the end of each article. It is an important reference book for studying classical poetry. The book also features exquisite illustrations.

2013 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Literature. During these 60 years, generations of scholars from the Institute have witnessed the extraordinary years that this collective has gone through with their own experiences, and have jointly achieved the glory, honor and contribution of the Institute with the unremitting efforts of everyone. It is for this reason that, entrusted by the leadership team of the institute, a research team composed mainly of young scholars conducted interviews with twenty older generation scholars since 2011 to compile this oral history. The interview is based on the principle of "personal experience". The content includes the interviewees' work, academics, life, colleagues and other aspects at different periods in the Institute of Literature. Regarding their experiences during the "Cultural Revolution" in literature, which were rarely recalled by people in the past, some old comrades interviewed also faced it calmly and spoke freely, leaving valuable information for the study of this period of history.

The famous scholar Wang Guowei said that "one generation has its own literature." As one of the literary styles, the Tang and Song dynasties were the most prosperous times for the creation of lyrics. This book is a selection of classic poems from the Tang and Song Dynasties, with a total of 312 poems from the Tang and Song Dynasties, 56 poems from the Tang and Five Dynasties, 89 poems from the Northern Song Dynasty, and 167 poems from the Southern Song Dynasty. When selecting works, we first focus on works with good ideological content, high artistic achievements, and basically healthy moods, and take into account representative works of various schools and styles, so that readers can have a more comprehensive understanding of the lyrics of this period.

The Institute of Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has a cooperation and exchange agreement with the Japanese Buddhist University. In 2017, they determined a common research theme, namely "Research on Various Phases of the Humanities in the Era of Globalization - Inspiration from Contemporary Sino-Japanese and East-West Exchanges", and each held an academic seminar. The seminar conducted in-depth discussions on the relationship between Buddhism and Chinese and Japanese culture, comparative studies of ancient Chinese and Japanese "diaries", ancient Chinese ritual and music systems, and modern Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges. Scholars from both sides published high-level papers. This book is the collection of papers from this seminar.

Its main content is research and review articles on literary theory, the works of important writers in Chinese and foreign literary history, literary history issues, and literary creation and theory during the Chinese socialist period. This book summarizes the general catalog index and editorial postscript of the publications since the 60th anniversary of the founding of "Literary Review". The book is divided into two parts. The first part is the table of contents for the 60th anniversary of "Literary Review"; the second part is a summary of the postscripts of the past 60 years.

The study of Chinese classical literature is increasingly becoming an international knowledge. A large number of research results accumulated in the past and emerging from foreign academic circles have become an important part of the academic accumulation of classical literature research, which is enough to inspire us. The Department of Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has consciously opened up the translation and review of foreign research results on Chinese classical literature, and held the first "Overseas Sinology Classics Review" forum in December 2013. The papers from this forum and the reviews of overseas works, academic history research, academic updates, and scholar interviews accumulated by scholars over the years are now compiled into a collection for the benefit of the academic community.
