"Weeds" was published in 1927 and contains twenty-three prose poems written by Lu Xun from 1924 to 1926, including "Autumn Night", "Shadow's Farewell", "Snow", "Kite" and "Good Story". "Weeds" is a marvelous work that expresses the author's inner depression and struggle against the real society in the mid-1920s through tortuous and obscure symbols. The language is strange and magnificent, and the imagery is mysterious and beautiful. The work contains profound philosophy and rich implications. Many prose poems in "Wild Grass" are included in Chinese textbooks for middle schools and colleges. This edition is equipped with more than 40 illustrations by famous painters Qiu Sha, Wang Weijun and Qiu Dali, hoping to give readers a double enjoyment of beauty.
