This book takes the social integration of the floating population in Laochengxiang as an observation perspective, and carefully combs the real community life in Laochengxiang, which has always been labeled by Shanghai-style traditional life classics. It shows the community relationships, social interactions and community order in Laochengxiang, which is composed of both the floating population and the original elderly population. It also reveals the contradictory situation faced by Laochengxiang community: the inevitable historical urban decline of Laochengxiang community and the community vitality that comes with the floating population.
