"Fourteen Poets" focuses on the image of "spring" and the experience of "youth", using ancient poems to explain five life events: friendship, loneliness, lust, death, and separation, and two attitudes toward life: desire and acceptance. The book is divided into seven chapters based on these themes. Each chapter selects two poets to explain their literary appearance and poet's personal temperament under this theme.
