Someone is Writing Poetry is Hua Nan's debut poetry collection, featuring 179 poems and 20 essays written over nearly three decades. Life is chaotic and busy, driven by desires and fears, from which no one can escape. Desires and fears are illusions created by language, even when seen through, they cannot be transcended. Writing or reading poetry is a daily, ordinary way to resist chaotic life, anytime, anywhere, on equal footing with all things. Starting from the earliest poem, this collection includes nearly three decades of my writing. In the future, I will publish an updated version every few years, adding new works. I think the title Someone is Writing Poetry summarizes all my writing. I am not skilled at writing; I simply write, one poem at a time, practicing repeatedly.-Hua Nan, Author
