In 1954, the Xingyuanbao Agricultural Cooperative along the Fen River in the Shanxi Plain encountered a disaster. However, their plot was exposed. Vice President Liu Yuanlu was dismissed, Zhao Yuchang was arrested and prosecuted, and Wang Liansheng was supported by the masses and elected as vice president.
