Tokuyuki Nishimura. A native of Takamatsu, Japan, born in 1930, his main works include: "The Avengers of No Return" and "The Hunt". The name Nishimura Toshiyuki became familiar to Chinese readers only in the 1980s, when the movie of the same name (the Chinese film was translated as "The Hunt") adapted from his work "Cross the Angry River" was released in mainland China. For a time, the image of the hero and heroine became popular all over the country. Du Qiu's perseverance, heroism and Mayumi's tenderness and infatuation have been recognized and loved by many old, middle-aged and young audiences. Because of "Manhunt", Nishimura Toshiyuki and leading actor Takakura Ken became popular idols together.
