I made an appointment with a friend from a university in the provincial capital to write about the school, which is not an officialdom. He wrote "University Principal", about the university, about the city; I wrote "Middle School Principal", about the middle school, about the countryside. My friend's "The President of the University" has been published chapter by chapter on the Internet, but when I was about to write it, I lost the original optimism. When I was composing the text, I wanted to write about these people, their past, and their current living conditions, whether they were farmers or intellectuals. What I felt was the hardship of their lives, and what I saw was that they were constantly running around, struggling in difficulties in order to live a better life and change their destiny. To write about schools, those who are engaged in rural education are struggling, sacrificing, forging ahead, and happy in blood and tears. So I named the text I wanted to write "Struggle".
