This book is a study of the meaning construction strategies of landscape writing in modern Chinese novels, that is, the generation mechanism of landscape discourse and the intervention mechanism in readers' perception of landscape. The introduction part mainly investigates the mechanism of the occurrence of modern landscape in Chinese novels. The first part is the general part. It examines the two levels of modern landscape narrative, the two subjects of landscape narrative and the narrative posture of landscape discourse. It also explains the role of rhetorical mechanism in the writing of landscape in modern Chinese novels, and answers the question of the occurrence of modern landscape in Chinese novels. The middle part is the narrative strategy part, which mainly studies the three common rhetorical mechanisms of landscape writing: metaphorical mechanism, body mechanism and spatio-temporal mechanism. The next part is a case study. While focusing on highlighting the common mechanism of landscape narrative construction, it selects landscape texts of novelists in different periods and conducts analysis based on their personality.
