In the late 1920s, in Xiyang, the Great Revolution swept across China. Huo Xiaolin, who was born in an aristocratic family, and Zhao Shucheng, the son of a warlord, became sworn brothers in Jinlan. As time goes by, they take different paths. Due to the grievances of their fathers and their secret life experiences, although they are brothers, they have turned against each other. Their fates are entangled and they cannot let go. Huo Xiaolin, who has been cowardly and unpopular since he was a child, has been in desperate situations many times because of his brave heart, but he never loses his fighting spirit. He kills warlords, enters the rivers and lakes, and finally turns around and becomes a great anti-Japanese hero in Rehe. However, Zhao Shucheng was distorted by false fame, tortured by hatred, and his fate was reversed. He fell from a student movement leader and Northern Expedition hero to a murderer, and finally became a traitor. The plot of the whole work is tense and tortuous, full of suspense, and the characters are vividly and delicately portrayed.
