On an autumn night in 2013, it rained on Qintai Road in Chengdu, and restorer Xu Qingyan met Zhou Yanbai, who was holding a black umbrella. The yellowed piece of music score in his hand was linked to a French ballad "Moonlight in Chengdu" that had been lost for eighty years. Eighty years ago, the French missionary Dupont composed unfinished music for his beloved wife at Wangjiang Tower, half of the melody was lost in the war; eighty years later, two young people followed the waves of Jinjiang River, the bells of Wenshu Monastery, and the rustling of rain in wax tubes, and tried to complete the moonlight that spanned time and space during the dialogue between guqin and piano. However, when the lost note was about to reappear, Zhou Yanbai left without saying goodbye due to the sudden change in his family, leaving only a text message. Seven years later, on a rainy night in London, a concert called "Moonlight Repair" reunited the hands of repairing cultural relics and the hands of repairing piano keys. But the cracks in the past, the undercurrent of business, the unresolved grievances of the previous generation, and the theft of the Zhaoming Mirror from the Han Dynasty, have drawn the two into a deeper whirlpool... This is a long journey of using sound to repair memories. In the boiling fireworks of the hot pot, in the depths of the courtyard where the ginkgo is falling, those broken music scores, broken mirrors, broken time and hearts will eventually be gently stitched together by the moonlight.
