"The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is a classic work by the famous painter Jin Xiezhong. It is also the only complete Romance of the Three Kingdoms painted with meticulous brushwork and heavy colors so far. The book selects the most representative scenes, characters and stories for composition, and uses 2 pictures per chapter for a total of 240 meticulous and colorful pictures to comprehensively interpret the history of the Three Kingdoms. It can be called a masterpiece for both refined and popular tastes. "Water Margin" is one of my country's traditional classical masterpieces. It has been widely circulated and had a huge influence since its publication. We selected a total of 176 color drawings from the "Water Margin Characters" painted by Zhang Lin, a folk artist in the early Qing Dynasty, and the "Ukiyo-e Water Margin Characters" painted by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, known as the "Ukiyo-e genius" in the Edo period of Japan, collected in the Nanjing Library. We also wrote a short biography for each character, added comments and annotations, and compiled them into a book.
