In response to the academic debates on the group nature and historical positioning of Xiling poets, this book is based on the excavation and compilation of a large number of new documents. It conducts an in-depth investigation of the group composition, selection system, creative style, and Ci theory claims of Xiling Ci Circle, and reveals the genre attributes and anti-genre colors of Xiling Ci poets from both theoretical and substantive levels. And in this process, we will look into the evolution of the spirit of Xiling Ci and how it affects the transition from Ming Ci to Qing Ci.
