The author of this book, Academician Ge Molin, has had work and life contacts with Mr. Yang Zhenning since the late 1970s. In the 1980s, he went to the United States many times to carry out research with Mr. Yang. Later, he participated in the establishment and teaching and research work of the Theoretical Physics Laboratory of the Institute of Mathematics of Nankai University under the direct leadership of Mr. Yang. In the early days of Mr. Yang's establishment of the Institute for Advanced Study of Tsinghua University, he participated in teaching and research work as a part-time professor for a short period of time. Academician Ge Molin and Mr. Yang Zhenning have cooperated for more than 40 years. They are both teachers and friends, and have established a profound friendship. This book is based on the life experience of Academician Ge Molin, using first-person narrative to recall and record Mr. Yang Zhenning's outstanding contributions in physics research, supporting the development of education and science and technology in the motherland, safeguarding the reputation and dignity of the motherland, and caring for and supporting future generations. The book has a total of 10 chapters, generally based on time, interspersed with topics that impressed the author, including physics research from an international perspective and vivid and concrete daily life; both true and objective historical records and sincere and full personal expressions. Many of the contents and photos are released for the first time and have certain historical and documentary value.
