The whole book focuses on the teaching and research of foreign literature, especially British and American literature. On the basis of inheriting traditional research methods such as close reading and detailed interpretation of literary works, we will explore the use of theoretical systems such as narratology (especially feminist narratology), translation studies, and academic history to reinterpret literary classics, try to read new works by new writers, and introduce new trends of thought and new methods in the field of foreign literary and cultural theoretical research, so that literary teaching and research will last forever. It mainly focuses on classic interpretation and re-reading of famous writers and their works in British and American literature, such as Faulkner, Keats, Shelley, Arnold, etc. On this basis, it always maintains a high sensitivity to new writers and new works emerging in the field of foreign literature, and promptly translates and introduces them to domestic academic circles. In the study of specific works, two authors Based on the mastery of a large number of previous research results, the authors seek new perspectives, new methods, and new viewpoints. They do not only insist on authority, are not afraid of classics, and do not lose sight of new works.
