This book is the final result of this project funded by the National Social Science Fund. He conducted a certain discussion on Murong Xianbei and the history of the Wuyan Kingdom, and put forward some of his own insights and opinions. For example, the clan, origin, name, and migration of Murong Xianbei; the establishment, development, and decline of the Wuyan regime; the political regions, official positions, economy, culture, and religious beliefs of each regime; and the clues to the development of branches after the Northern Wei Dynasty were systematically sorted out and revealed in depth. In the study of the history of the Sixteen Kingdoms, the research on the Five Yans is relatively weak, and there are even fewer studies that combine the Five Yans into a comprehensive study. This book can be said to be the first attempt in this regard. This achievement is of great significance in making up for the shortcomings and promoting the deepening of relevant research in the study of the history of the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties.
