This work is written in classical Chinese, and the content is historical fiction. The whole book is divided into two parts: "Tongji" and "Benji, Family, Biographies, Leilin, and Dianzhi". The "Tongji" part is written in chronological order. The "Biography, Family, Biographies, Leilin, and Chronicles" section uses specific characters and related systems as clues. This book tells the story of Taizong, Xiaozong, Gongzong, Guangzong, Mu Zong, Xizong and other dynasties in the fictional history created by the novel, starting from the uprising of Qin Gaozu. Due to the temporary lack of the "ambition" part, plots related to military affairs, government affairs, and characters are the main content, and plots related to economy, culture, and institutions are supplementary content.
