As a professional history and a textbook for modern Chinese cultural history courses in university history departments, this book takes the culture from 1826 to 1956 as the research object and combines the major historical events that occurred in modern history. It divides the history of modern Chinese culture into six stages and nine chapters. It focuses on the growth and evolution of the new modern culture: 1826-1894, the preparatory period for the new capitalist culture of modern China; 1895-19 12 years, the initial creation period of the new culture; 1912-1927, the foundation period of the new culture; 1927-1937, the construction period of the new culture; 1931-1945, Chinese culture was reborn from hardship, the national spirit was unprecedentedly radiant, and the national character of the new culture was strengthened; 1946-1956, New Democracy formed a complete social and cultural form from small to large, which was the final stage of the development of modern culture.
