To approach the poet is to enter the poetry scene. This book is an in-depth dialogue between poets and critics, a review of the individual poetry histories of ten contemporary poets, a summary of the development of new Chinese poetry since the 1980s, and a vision towards the future of poetry. The interviewer in this book is a poetry researcher himself, and has his own awareness of the problems of the poets involved in the book. Each poet has a different life experience and creative style. Whether it is Yang Mu, the godfather poet in Taiwan, Chen Dongdong, a representative poet in intellectual writing, or Zhou Zan, who experimented with theatrical poetry, they all have their own distinctive personalities. On the surface, this is an interview with ten poets, but from a broader perspective, it can also be regarded as another presentation of the history of contemporary poetry.
