This book objectively describes the emergence, development, rise and fall of the remonstrance system from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty. It also analyzes relevant major remonstration events and remonstrance figures, summarizes its rules, characteristics, functions, gains and losses, and conducts an in-depth discussion of ancient remonstration thought, especially Confucian remonstrance thought. It can be clearly seen that if the monarch is good at accepting advice and has a smooth way of speaking, then the politics will be clear and the country will be prosperous. On the contrary, if the way of speech is blocked and the monarch acts arbitrarily, it will lead to political chaos and the decline of the country.
