In May 2015, nearly forty scholars from more than twenty universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad gathered in Lingcheng District, Dezhou City, the hometown of Dongfang Shuo, which has beautiful scenery, beautiful folk customs and profound historical heritage. They participated in the "First International Academic Forum on Dongfang Shuo Culture" co-sponsored by the China Qin and Han History Research Association, the Dezhou Lingcheng District Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Lingcheng District People's Government, and the Dezhou Dongfang Shuo Research Association. In the history of the China Qin and Han History Research Association, this is the largest academic conference on the historical celebrity Dongfang Shuo. This book, the research result of this conference, will surely play an important and far-reaching role in promoting the study of Dongfang Shuo and the exploration of Dongfang Shuo's historical resources in Lingcheng District.
