"70 Years of Historical Research in New China" is divided into seven parts: general introduction, Chinese archeology, ancient Chinese history, modern Chinese history, world history, Chinese frontier history, historical theory and historiography. Based on the existing disciplines of the six research institutes under the Chinese Academy of History, this article systematically summarizes the disciplinary development status, main achievements, existing problems and future development directions of historical research in New China under the strong leadership of the party and the country, reveals the inherent laws of the development of history, explains the unique path of the development of Chinese history, and contributes to accelerating the construction of the discipline system, academic system, and discourse system of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics. The publication of this book will provide an important reference for the study of Chinese history.
