As a major historical event in the history of modern China, the history of the Republic of China, and the history of China's Anti-Japanese War, the Xi'an Incident directly affected the fate of the Chinese nation and the development process of Chinese society. The peaceful settlement of the Xi'an Incident laid the political foundation for the victory of China's Anti-Japanese War. In order to solemnly commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Xi'an Incident, systematically summarize the 80-year study of the Xi'an Incident, inherit and carry forward the anti-Japanese patriotic spirit of the Xi'an Incident, and facilitate further in-depth research and create a new situation in the study of the Xi'an Incident, teachers and students majoring in modern Chinese history at the School of History and Culture of Shaanxi Normal University collectively compiled the book "Research Notes on the Xi'an Incident". The book is divided into four parts: a research review of the Xi'an Incident, an index of papers, an index of treatises, and an index of historical materials.
